Company News
by ArcBest

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts our country and our world, my thoughts are with those who are affected in our local communities as well as globally. This is a very fluid situation that requires our organization to be flexible and nimble as we respond. We are continually monitoring developments and adjusting contingency and business continuity plans accordingly.

For employees, we’re taking precautions at our locations such as increased cleaning and disinfecting measures. We also have an internal online resource for employees that contains updated information; the health and safety of our employees is always our top priority. We are using guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to guide our actions and protect our employees from exposure.

For our customers, our locations across North America remain fully operational, and we have strategies in place to adjust operations if necessary to ensure service continues without interruption. For almost 100 years, we have provided reliable service to customers of all sizes, and we have decades of experience managing supply chain disruptions due to natural disasters and emergencies. We are confident we have the experience, equipment and resources necessary to help you address your challenges.

The work we do is critical in times of crisis. Our industry is vital in playing a key role to ensure essential goods such as medical supplies and food are available when and where they are needed.

As we navigate the challenges ahead, I encourage everyone to stay healthy and take proactive measures as recommended by the CDC. We’ll continue to communicate with our employees and our customers as situations evolve.
