Our Commitment to DEI
A workplace where everyone belongs.
Our people are at the heart of our success, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse atmosphere where all cultures, perspectives and experiences are respected. This commitment is lived out by our people through our mission and values — extending to each other, our customers, carriers, suppliers and all other business relationships.
The ArcBest DEI Task Force
ArcBest’s DEI Task Force members represent various races and ethnicities, tenures, campuses and experiences, all working together to support the organization’s DEI initiatives. Their mission is to enable a welcoming and accepting environment where everyone respects differences, mindfully engages with each other to form relationships, and has a collective sense of belonging.
Our DEI Strategy
ArcBest’s DEI Strategy focuses on four main areas: Workforce, Workplace, Community and Marketplace.
Workforce
A diverse workforce can better serve a diverse customer base. That’s why we’re committed to recruiting underrepresented talent at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions, Hispanic Serving institutions, veterans transitioning out of service and neurodistinct candidates.

Workplace
Our employees’ experiences and perspectives matter to us. Through our employee surveys, DEI education and training, and our employee-led resource groups (ERGs), we’re listening to our people and providing resources and spaces to help them feel welcome, safe and valued.
Marketplace
ArcBest partners with and provides opportunities for diverse vendors, owner-operators and carriers to drive sustained economic impact and growth. Each partner has the opportunity to self-disclose minority-owned business statuses, and we regularly review our processes to ensure their information is accurately captured in our systems.
Community
We serve countless communities surrounding our 250 campuses and service centers and through our philanthropy efforts we’re committed to deepening our impact by formalizing employee volunteerism and corporate giving efforts and supporting the education of underrepresented students.
Employee Resource Groups
ArcBest’s ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that help create an open and welcoming space to foster community building for employees’ with shared identities or experiences or employees interested in supporting underrepresented talent (‘allies’). The company supports each ERG through allocated resources.
ArcBest currently has six ERGs with over 800 members.
