ArcBest’s reach spans beyond our industry. Because of our large footprint, we make it our responsibility to serve our communities, invest in education and support our people and the causes they care about. We’re deeply focused on nurturing a culture grounded in our mission to connect and positively impact the world, and that reflects our core values of Creativity, Integrity, Collaboration, Growth, Excellence and Wellness.
To help guide our actions, we provide resources and support across three philanthropic pillars — Community, Education and People.
Growing and serving the communities where we live, work and operate.
- United Way
- Local Developments (nature trails, art projects)
- Local Events (5Ks, concerts)
- Disaster Relief Efforts
ArcBest is committed to serving in these areas to help create happier and healthier communities.
We empower our people to get involved by providing opportunities and volunteer time off for them to lend a helping hand and make a difference.
We care about area developments that further economic growth, create more opportunities for local youth, and that bring in more activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.
We encourage community wellbeing through sponsoring 5k races and other events like Paint the Park Pink and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
We provide relief and critical resources to businesses, homes and families when natural disasters leave behind significant damage — helping to ensure access to necessities and enabling quicker recoveries.
Providing employees opportunities for growth and investing in local education.
- Educational Assistance Program
- Partners in Education
- PEAK Innovation Center
- Educational Match Program
Growth is one of ArcBest’s core values. We’re committed to investing in both our employees and local institutions, knowing our time and support is paramount to the growth within our organization and our communities. Through ArcBest’s educational pillar, we are strengthening the current and future workforce.
ArcBest employees have access to tuition reimbursement options to help cover higher education expenses. Additionally, we’re exploring opportunities for scholarship programs.
As part of our Partners in Education program, employees devote time to students through mentorship programs and STEM activities like Girls Who Code and LEGO robotics competitions. In 2021, we also invested $1 million dollars in the PEAK Innovation Center — a career and technical education center that serves 43,000 students from 22 regional school districts.
Through the ArcBest Educational Match Program, employees can donate funds to educational institutions in the U.S. (primary, secondary, two- or four-year college or university), and the company matches the donation up to $5,000.
Positively impacting the world through our employees and the causes they care about.
- Polaris Project
- Truckers Against Trafficking
- Project Hero
- Women in Trucking
- St. Christopher’s Truckers Relief Fund
- Ronald McDonald House
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Our people are at the heart of our success, which is part of what makes ArcBest a leading place to work. Through education and awareness, strategic partnerships and community relationships, we provide resources and support to our employees and the causes they care about, which includes underserved communities, programs and organizations.
ArcBest encourages employee volunteerism and provides channels for fundraising and crowdsourcing alongside our corporate giving pillars.
Our various military partnership programs help veterans transition out of the service into civilian logistics careers. We also honor the nation’s heroes through participating in events like Wreaths Across America.
Additionally, ArcBest advocates for today’s youth, investing in local schools and shelters to help make quality education and safe housing accessible and to help build a better and brighter future.
