We’re celebrating 100 years by giving back to our communities
As ArcBest celebrates a major company milestone, we want to give back to the communities we’ve been part of during our 100 years in business. To achieve this, we’ll be raising funds in a variety of ways throughout the year — all with the goal of donating a total of $1 million! Donations will be distributed to a different nationwide non-profit organization each quarter, and service centers will also have the opportunity to apply for grants for local causes.
FAQs about ArcBest’s centennial giving initiatives
Curious about what all we have planned? Get answers to these FAQs:
How are funds being raised?
There are two primary ways money is being raised throughout the year for our quarterly partners: a Spot-a-Trailer campaign and through proceeds from select company store items. Here’s how to participate in each:
Spot-a-Trailer
-
Take a photo when you spot our equipment either out in public or with a unique background (i.e., not just parked at a service center).
-
Post your photo to your personal social media channels and use the hashtag #HeartOf100.
ArcBest has committed to donating $100 per submitted photo, up to $25,000 per quarter.
Company store items
Proceeds from centennial t-shirts sold in the ArcBest company store will be donated each quarter. To participate, simply purchase one of these items!
Note: funds from these initiatives will be donated to our quarterly partners. Other donations require no outside action.
How did you choose the non-profit for each quarter?
Non-profits were chosen to align with the philanthropic pillars we announced at the end of 2022. Our partner for the first quarter is Feeding America, which supports our community pillar. The remaining partners will be announced each quarter!
When can service centers apply for grants and how much will they receive?
Service center and field employees are now able to apply to receive a $1,000 grant to donate to a local cause in their community. 100 grants will be awarded during Truck Driver Appreciation Week in September. The deadline to submit a grant is July 31st. For information on submitting applications, please contact corpcomm@arcb.com.
Are there other donations planned throughout the year?
Many one-time gifts are planned for the year! These will be announced as they occur.
Can I see how much money ArcBest has donated?
Yes! Our donation tracker will be updated bi-weekly. This tracker will account for all funds generated through the Spot-a-Trailer campaign.
