Work environment and culture
What’s the dress code?
In our corporate offices, the personal appearance policy is “Dress for Your Day,” which means to use good judgement on what to wear based on your job duties. For employees on the phone or computer all day, more casual dress is welcome.
Some employees in field roles, like drivers, are issued uniforms.

How many vacation days do employees get?
We believe in the importance of taking time off to recharge. Full-time ArcBest employees get five paid vacation days upon hire and accrue up to 10 additional days over the first year. The number of vacation days varies based on tenure, with employees having more than ten years of service receiving 25 days each year.
Full-time employees also receive caregiver, holiday, sick and bereavement leave.
Does ArcBest offer parental leave?
We offer parental leave, including paid leave following birth or placement for adoption. We also provide maternity leave for medical recovery after giving birth.
