Our Commitment to Human Rights
Human Rights Policy
ArcBest supports every person’s right to safety and security. To affirm our commitment to human rights, we’ve incorporated the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact into our Code of Conduct, which includes our responsibility to prevent human rights abuses.
The Fight against Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a devastating crime that destroys lives. It occurs every day across our country and around the world, and it intersects with transportation and logistics in several ways. Because of the nature of our industry, drivers and customers are often in locations where human trafficking is prevalent, such as truck stops, hotels, airports and welcome centers. Because of this, we believe we have an obligation to create awareness that helps disrupt these trafficking networks. We’re doing this through a partnership with Polaris — a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting and ending human trafficking and restoring freedom to survivors. All ArcBest office employees and drivers are being trained on the realities of modern-day slavery and how they can play a critical role in the fight.
