A new exhibit at the Fort Smith Museum of History focuses on the history of ArcBest.
The exhibit, “The ArcBest Story: A Century of Innovation,” showcases the history of ArcBest and its less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight, as well as illustrates the company’s innovations in its first century. Since it was founded as a Fort Smith freight hauler in 1923, the company has transformed into a full-scale provider of end-to-end supply chain services designed to help customers solve their logistics challenges.
Today, ArcBest has 10 campuses and over 240 service centers across North America with more than 13,000 employees ready to serve customers around the globe. The company remains headquartered in Fort Smith.
About 80 people attended an opening reception for the exhibit Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019.
“The ArcBest Story: A Century of Innovation” will be hosted in the Boyd Gallery at the Fort Smith Museum of History through September 2020. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
