America’s Best Employers for Women methodology
To compile the 2025 list of America’s Best Employers for Women, Forbes partnered with Statista to survey over 140,000 women working at U.S. companies with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents rated their current and former employers — as well as other companies they were familiar with — on factors like pay equity, career advancement, parental leave, work-life balance, and how companies handle discrimination and misconduct. Statista also analyzed the share of women in leadership roles. Responses from the past three years were considered, with recent feedback from current employees weighted most heavily. The top 700 companies with the highest combined scores made the final list.
