ArcBest’s commitment to sustainability earns national recognition
Being a good steward of our resources and caring about our people and the communities where we live and operate are foundational to who we are at ArcBest. Today, on Earth Day, we’re proud to announce two milestones that reflect our commitment to responsible business practices and transparency: the release of our 2024 Impact Report and recognition as one of America’s Climate Leaders of 2025 by USA Today and Statista.
One of America’s Climate Leaders 2025
The America’s Climate Leaders of 2025 list highlights companies that set a meaningful standard for emissions reduction in the United States, and this recognition reflects ArcBest’s overall commitment to sustainability backed by measurable progress.
“Every day, we seek new ways to integrate more sustainable initiatives and processes that positively impact our operations, customers, people and communities. Being recognized as one of America’s Climate leaders of 2025 is a testament to this commitment, said Judy R. McReynolds, ArcBest chairman and CEO. “I’m proud of our accomplishments and confident in our ability to continue driving meaningful change in 2025 and beyond.”
The selection process for the award was built on both transparency and rigor. After a public application period, all qualifying companies underwent detailed data analysis. USA Today and Statista calculated the compound annual reduction rate (CARR) of Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity relative to revenue from 2021 to 2023. Companies with over $50 million in revenue who demonstrated significant, sustained reductions earned a place on the 2025 list.
Our 2024 Impact Report: A year of tangible change
Alongside this prestigious recognition, we also released our 2024 Impact Report. This year’s report details the strides we’ve made in key sustainability areas, from reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency to creating safer work environments and contributing to healthier communities. The report is a snapshot of our progress and how ArcBest has turned our goals into progress, outlining our continued commitment to making a positive, measurable impact.
