ArcBest Chairman and CEO Judy McReynolds joined Mad Money with Jim Cramer on November 4 to discuss continued soft demand, the company’s third-quarter results, and the success ArcBest is seeing from our managed transportation solution that helps customers build flexibility into and find efficiencies in their supply chains.
ArcBest named one of the Next Big Things in Tech by Fast Company
In November, Fast Company named ArcBest a winner of its Next Big Things in Tech Awards in the General Excellence category for Vaux Smart Autonomy™. This honor highlights our commitment to innovation and acknowledges the groundbreaking impact of our autonomous material handling technology. Vaux Smart Autonomy was also mentioned as one of the top technologies in workplace and productivity advancements.
Seth Runser named ArcBest President
On August 1, Seth Runser, president of ABF Freight, became president of ArcBest, leading ArcBest’s daily operations with a focus on growth, efficiency and innovation. Judy R. McReynolds remains Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board, continuing to oversee the company’s long-term strategy and further developing relationships with customers, shareholders and employees. With this transition, Matt Godfrey was appointed president of ABF Freight, concentrating on long-term initiatives, optimization and network enhancements.

Dennis Anderson named ArcBest Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer
In September, ArcBest announced that Michael Newcity, chief innovation officer and president of ArcBest Technologies, will retire on December 31. Dennis Anderson, currently chief strategy officer, will succeed Michael as ArcBest’s chief strategy and innovation officer. Dennis continues to lead strategy and customer experience while driving growth through transformational technology and innovation.

ABF Freight driver Loren Hatfield made history at 2024 Arkansas Truck Driving Championship
In June, ABF driver Loren Hatfield made history at the 2024 Arkansas Truck Driving Champion (TDC) by becoming the first driver to win in all eight CDL classes. He secured his last needed win in the 3-axle category, qualifying him for nationals for the 10th time. Loren has competed in the Arkansas TDC since 2004, earning titles such as Rookie of the Year in 2004 and Grand Champion in 2013 and 2023. ArcBest partnered with TriumphPay for enhanced carrier payments
In August, TriumphPay announced the addition of ArcBest to its network as a full audit and payments network participant. ArcBest joins TriumphPay to provide freight brokers, shippers and carriers with a faster, more efficient and secure way to exchange data and process transportation invoices. This partnership is in line with ArcBest’s strategy to enhance operational efficiency and payment security as a preferred carrier partner.
Dennis Anderson gives keynote at Northwest Arkansas Tech Summit
In October, Dennis Anderson served as a keynote speaker at the NWA Tech Summit in Rogers, Arkansas. During a Q&A session moderated by Axios Reporter Worth Sparkman, Dennis elaborated on how technology continuously transforms supply chains. He also discussed how ArcBest is leveraging tech and innovation to address customer needs and advance the global supply chain.
