Otto Schmeckenbecher is very serious about his profession and highway safety. He thinks that while everyone pretty well knows what it takes to do a safe job, it is helpful to be reminded. He is certainly qualified to speak on the subject, considering his excellent safety record. Otto has over three million accident-free miles as a professional truck driver.

My pride in my profession and in ABF is evident through my job performance. I consider it my duty to further promote a positive image for my profession and my company. The Road Team promotes two things that are very important: safety and courtesy on the road. I am proud to represent ABF as a Road Team member.”
Otto has received numerous safety awards in his more than 30 years as a professional driver. He participates in the Highway Watch Program and the World’s Largest Truck Convoy to benefit the Special Olympics. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Otto enjoys home improvement projects, model trains, and restoring his 1969 Olds 442.
