We believe giving back to the community is just as important as everyday business. That’s why we’re dedicated to creating a safer, healthier, happier place to live and work — it’s at the heart of who we are. Every year, our employees make charitable contributions to organizations they care about, and ArcBest® matches many of those donations. Employees also dedicate their time and efforts through volunteer activities like mentoring students, packing meals, disaster recovery and hosting fundraisers.
Here are some ways our employees are making a difference.
For decades, ArcBest has served as a Pacesetter Company for the United Way of Fort Smith Area. Donations made by employees and ArcBest go directly to Partner Agencies in the communities where we live and work — contributing to those in need and investing in programs that provide education, childcare, shelter and food. Some of the United Way partners we support include:

- Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

- Local Boys and Girls Shelters

Through the Partners in Education program, our employees have the opportunity to mentor students at three local schools, with the goal of building positive relationships that make a long-term impact on their lives. The program also includes care drives and other fundraisers that provide children with personal items they need. ArcBest employees also can participate in a fun pen pal program where they exchange letters each month with a local elementary student.
Each year the ArcBest Leadership Academy selects an organization and cause to support. Employees can make a difference both locally and nationally through donations and volunteer work. Since 2015, we’ve supported organizations like Together We Rise, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
