Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) uses a uniform processing system to trade information electronically between companies — eliminating paper and human interaction and reducing costly mistakes. Instead of using fax, email or postal mail to process documents business-to-business, send items like bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and shipping notices straight through to the receiver’s computer to begin immediate processing. EDI reduces errors, resulting in lower costs and improved business relationships.
