Listening, collaborating and leading environmental change
A cross-functional team led by the Manager of Sustainability is at the core of our sustainability efforts. This team collaborates with stakeholders across the company to address challenges and create innovative solutions. Their work spans environmental stewardship, emissions reduction and reporting — helping ensure our progress aligns with company goals, customer needs and global standards.
A broader Sustainability Committee brings together representatives from areas like operations, human resources, finance and sales to support this mission. Their diverse perspectives help shape sustainability strategies, while oversight from our Board of Directors Corporate Governance and Audit Committees helps ensure these initiatives remain a top priority.
In addition to shaping strategy, these groups play a key role in identifying measurable outcomes and advising on initiatives that lead to long-term operational improvements.

Putting people at the center of sustainability
Because our people are at the heart of everything we do, we utilize a cross-departmental approach to foster a collaborative culture that values everyone. Our Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility and the CSR team work closely with our Belonging Advisory Board and leaders across the organization to drive meaningful change that supports employees.
For example, after employees expressed a desire for stronger networks, we launched Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to host panel discussions that foster connection, build relationships and create leadership development opportunities.
The CSR team also works with groups such as Employee Experience, Learning & Development, and Safety & Security that implement initiatives surrounding culture, training and safety because fostering a positive workplace environment enhances employee satisfaction and engagement. When employees feel valued and supported, they are more likely to perform at their best, contribute positively to the company culture and stay committed to their roles.
Creating change in our communities
Sustainability extends beyond the workplace. Our CSR team also leads initiatives that bring significant benefits to our communities through our philanthropic pillars, such as:
- Supporting disaster relief efforts and local development projects, including nature trails and public art programs.
- Investing in education through programs like the PEAK Innovation Center and our Educational Assistance Program.
- Partnering with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Wreaths Across America to make a lasting impact.
These efforts reflect the dedication of individuals who engage colleagues and help fulfill our mission: To connect and positively impact the world through solving logistics challenges.
