ABF Freight wins the ATA’s Excellence in Security Award for a record ten times
In April, we announced that ArcBest LTL carrier ABF Freight won the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Excellence in Security award for an unprecedented 10th time. This is the only nationally recognized trucking security award of its kind that honors one trucking company each year that is leading the way in industry safety, demonstrating a superior ability to protect its employees, property, trucks and cargo. ArcBest named a Green Supply Chain Partner for the 13th time by Inbound Logistics
Inbound Logistics announced its 2024 75 Green Supply Chain Partners in May, naming ArcBest a G75 Partner for the 13th time. This designation recognizes 75 supply chain visionaries who have demonstrated their commitment to sustainability every day in every way. ArcBest works toward sustainable excellence every day, prioritizing efforts that improve efficiency across our organization, operations and facilities. Arkansas Business celebrating 40 Years of Arkansas Business
In its 40 Years of Arkansas Business series, Arkansas Business featured ArcBest in two articles. In Reading the Future: Transportation, industry leaders across the state, including Judy McReynolds, ArcBest chairman, president and CEO, express their thoughts on the current freight recession and solutions for the near and long term. In Largest Public Companies, Then and Now, ArcBest was listed as one of the largest public companies in Arkansas in 1984 and 2024.

This award recognizes providers who have excelled in providing outstanding services and support in Aftersales for the U.S. Market in areas of reliability, innovation, cost and operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, adaptability and collaboration.
- ArcBest was featured on Arkansas Money & Politics' Most Admired Companies of 2024 list, using financial soundness, bold innovation, brand awareness, quality of product, outstanding people and social responsibility as the criteria.
- ArcBest received the Matt Waller Innovation Award from the University of Arkansas and Plug and Play Tech Center, recognizing Arkansas-based companies pushing supply chain boundaries. The award honors ArcBest’s commitment to innovation through initiatives like VauxTM and our ongoing partnerships with Plug and Play and the Supply Chain Management Research Center.
- ArcBest LTL carrier, ABF Freight, ground expedite fleet, Panther Premium Logistics, and truckload service, MoLo, were named to project44’s 2024 Preferred Carriers list as gold tier carriers — ABF in the LTL category and Panther and MoLo in the truckload category. This list honors top-performing carriers demonstrating excellence in connectivity, fidelity and milestone completeness. View the full list of winners.
- ABF Freight received a 2024 Fleet Safety Award from the Virginia Trucking Association (VTA), recognizing companies with the lowest 2023 Virginia accident frequency rate in their competition class. The VTA also awarded ABF a Fleet Safety Certificate for achieving an improved safety record over the previous year.
- Dennis Anderson, chief strategy officer at ArcBest, was named to the board of directors of the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation. The foundation honors the legacy of Brandon Burlsworth, a former Arkansas Razorback and Indianapolis Colt known for his work ethic, character and faith. Its programs help make life better for children with limited opportunities while stressing the importance of character.
- Steven Leonard, ArcBest’s chief commercial officer and president of asset-light logistics, threw the first pitch at the Fort Smith Marshals baseball game on May 23. ArcBest is a presenting sponsor of the Fort Smith Marshals baseball team, which is part of the newly formed Mid-America League.
