ArcBest’s McReynolds Participates in CEO Study

ArcBest Chairman, President and CEO Judy R. McReynolds is among 57 CEOs who recently took part in the “Women CEOs Speak” report.

The Korn Ferry Institute, in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation, conducted the study as part of the CEO Pipeline Project. The Institute interviewed 57 women who had ascended to the role of CEO at Fortune 1000-listed companies and others of similar size. The study focused on understanding the personal attributes and experiences that aided them in achieving their career accomplishments.

Among other findings, the study reported that the women interviewed took many paths to becoming CEO and that few set out to be CEO when they began their careers.

McReynolds joined ArcBest in 1997 as director of corporate accounting. In 2000, she was promoted to vice president – controller. From 2006 to 2009, she served as senior vice president – chief financial officer and treasurer. In January 2010, she was named president and CEO of ArcBest. She was elected chairman of the board in April 2016.

The CEO Pipeline Project is part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s goal to have women CEOs at 100 of the Fortune 500 companies by 2025. To learn more about the Women CEOs Speak report and to view it, click here.
