#ThankATrucker: ArcBest, ABF Freight Celebrate Truck Drivers

ArcBest® and its best-in-class less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight® are proud to celebrate 2020 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week with special events for employees across over 240 locations.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week honors the 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the United States who play a vital role in the economy by delivering goods safely and securely every day.

“America depends daily on truck drivers to deliver goods, and I’m proud to recognize the hard work and dedication of our ABF drivers and Panther owner-operators, as well as all of our contracted carriers,” said Judy R. McReynolds, ArcBest chairman, president and CEO. “Our professional drivers provide excellent service while performing one of the most important jobs in the country.”

According to the American Trucking Associations, professional truck drivers transport over 10 billion tons of goods and products each year, which accounts for 70% of America’s total annual freight.

The ATA established National Truck Driver Appreciation Week in the 1990s. This year, it is celebrated September 13-19.
