FORT SMITH, Arkansas, April 3, 2019 — ArcBest® (Nasdaq: ARCB), a leading logistics company with creative problem solvers who deliver integrated solutions, is pleased to announce that its employee training program placed 19th among Training magazine’s 2019 Top 125.

The ArcBest training program appears on the list for the 10th consecutive year, and 2019 marks the fourth consecutive year it has been ranked in the top 25.

“From a talent standpoint, our mission at ArcBest is to recruit, develop and retain the right people in the right role,” said Erin Gattis, ArcBest chief human resources officer. “We know that our people are critical to our success, and we emphasize continued professional development and training for our team. We are honored, once again, to be recognized for these efforts.”

Training magazine highlighted an ArcBest training program called ArcBest University, which is designed to empower employees to pave their career path through three colleges within ArcBest University: Learn, Perform and Achieve. The program includes both online modules and in-person training sessions.

Now in its 19th year, the Training Top 125 is based on total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.

The full list of winners appears in the March/April edition of Training magazine and online at trainingmag.com.
