ArcBest Receives 2017 Prism Award
FORT SMITH, Arkansas, October 18, 2017 — ArcBest® (Nasdaq: ARCB), a leading logistics company with creative problem solvers who deliver integrated solutions, is pleased to announce that it has received the 2017 Prism Award for Best Practices from the American Payroll Association (APA).
The prestigious Prism awards recognize U.S. companies that lead the payroll industry with innovative practices in the areas of technology, performance, management and process improvement.

ArcBest was honored for its efforts to implement new practices at a management level, which included utilizing the four disciplines of execution framework and converting employee compensation from paper check to direct deposit. In 2016, the ArcBest payroll department went from processing payroll for 12 companies in 27 states to doing so for six companies in 44 states.

In 2015, the ArcBest payroll team received the Prism Award for Technology in Payroll.
Established in 1982, the nonprofit APA is the nation’s leader in payroll education, publications and training. The APA presented the annual Prism Awards at its 2017 Fall Forum conference held September 27-29 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
