Judy R. McReynolds
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
ArcBest Corporation

Judy R. McReynolds is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ArcBest Corporation®, responsible for managing the multibillion-dollar logistics solutions provider. Since 2010, Ms. McReynolds has also held the post of Director of ArcBest Corporation and is the only member of the company’s senior management who serves on the board. On April 26, 2016, Ms. McReynolds was elected as Chairman of the Board of ArcBest Corporation. Her 26 years of logistics and transportation industry experience, including 19 years at ArcBest℠, provides significant value to the board. 

During her tenure, Ms. McReynolds has evolved the ArcBest strategic focus to expand beyond its core less-than-truckload services represented by the ABF Freight® brand in order to better serve customers across the supply chain spectrum. Building upon ABF Freight’s 94-year-old roots, she has diversified ArcBest into a full-service logistics provider through the addition of asset-light solutions, including the acquisition of Panther Premium Logistics® in 2012. In 2016, ArcBest realigned its structure to go to market primarily under the ArcBest brand, one logistics enterprise with creative problem solvers who deliver integrated logistics solutions. The approach is to provide the best possible customer experience and present a unified identity for all of the ArcBest services, including ABF®, Panther and fleet maintenance and repair provider FleetNet America®.

Previously, Ms. McReynolds was Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Vice President – Controller, and Director of Corporate Accounting when she joined the company in 1997. Prior to joining ArcBest, she served as Director of Financial Reporting and Taxation with P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. and as a Senior Manager of Ernst & Young LLP.

Ms. McReynolds serves on numerous outside boards including OGE Energy Corp., First Bank Corp., First National Bank of Fort Smith, and the Transportation Industry Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She also serves on the Dean’s Executive Advisory Board of the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, and is chair of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Foundation Board. She is also the current chair of the American Transportation Research Institute board, and a member of the American Trucking Associations Board of Directors and Executive Committee. A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. McReynolds holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma.

Dennis L. Anderson II
Chief Customer Experience Officer
ArcBest Corporation

Dennis L. Anderson II was named Chief Customer Experience Officer for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously served as Vice President – Strategy from February 2014 to December 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Anderson was Director – Strategic Planning, ArcBest℠ and previously held positions at ArcBest company ABF Freight®, including Pricing Manager and Pricing Analyst.

Mr. Anderson joined the company in 2003 after beginning his career at Walmart Logistics, a division of Walmart Stores Inc.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Laura Bogner
Vice President - Internal Audit
ArcBest Corporation

Laura Bogner was named Vice President­ – Internal Audit for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017. In this role, Ms. Bogner manages all Internal Audit functions, including oversight of financial and operational audits, internal control testing required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and administration of the Enterprise Risk Management function.

She previously served as Director of Internal Audit from May 2011 to December 2016. Ms. Bogner joined ArcBest in March 2000 as Internal Audit Supervisor and was promoted to Internal Audit Manager in May 2004. Prior to joining ArcBest, Ms. Bogner spent five years at the public accounting firm of BKD, LLP working predominantly in the audit practice.

Ms. Bogner is a Certified Public Accountant and a summa cum laude graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

David R. Cobb
Vice President - Chief Financial Officer
ArcBest Corporation

David R. Cobb was named Chief Financial Officer of ArcBest Corporation® effective January 2015.

In 2006, Mr. Cobb became Vice President – Controller at ArcBest℠, and in 2010, his role was expanded to include the duties of Chief Accounting Officer. He served in those roles through the end of 2014. He has a wealth of experience, having worked with multinational and publicly traded corporations to startup operations in a vast range of business environments, including earnings-sensitive, fast-growth and acquisition integrations.

Before joining ArcBest in 2006, he was Vice President and Corporate Controller for a publicly traded, international oilfield service company. He also spent seven years with the public accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston. 

Mr. Cobb is a Certified Public Accountant in Arkansas and Texas and a summa cum laude graduate of Abilene Christian University. Outside of work, he is active in church and mission-related activities, and is a former Director for the Arkansas Best Federal Credit Union.

Dave Darter
Chief Sales Officer
ArcBest Corporation

Dave Darter was named Chief Sales Officer for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously served Vice President of Corporate Sales for ArcBest℠ company ABF Freight®, from June 1, 2016, to December 2016.

Mr. Darter joined ABF Freight in 1985 as a local sales representative at the Waco, Texas, facility. In 1988, he was promoted to Senior Account Executive at the Dallas terminal. In 1989 he was promoted to Director - Caribbean Sales. He was responsible for training and sales support to field sales during the development of the Puerto Rico market.

In June 1990, he was promoted to Director – National Accounts, working with commercial national accounts based in the South Central United Sates. His responsibilities included negotiating with key national accounts for new partnerships and to further develop existing accounts. In July 1997, he was promoted to Regional Vice President at Liberty, Missouri, until his promotion to Vice President of Corporate Sales.

Mr. Darter holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from Arkansas Tech University.  

Walter J. Echols
Vice President – Real Estate
ArcBest Corporation

Since 1994, Walter J. Echols has held the position of Vice President – Real Estate, managing all of the real estate assets of ArcBest Corporation® and its subsidiaries, which include about 300 owned and leased locations throughout the contiguous United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

Mr. Echols’ responsibilities include oversight of all real estate construction and development, maintenance, leasing and environmental compliance. Throughout ArcBest’s rapid growth into a full-service logistics and transportation provider, Mr. Echols has effectively consolidated or liquidated assets obtained through mergers and acquisitions, achieving a high return on capital employed.

As one of the longest-tenured ArcBest℠ executives, he joined the company in June 1975 with the subsidiary Data-Tronics Corp. (now ArcBest Technologies). He held various positions there until 1987 when he began work in the Real Estate Department of ArcBest.

Mr. Echols currently serves on numerous boards, including the trade organization Terminal Properties Exchange (past chairman), Mercy Fort Smith Board of Trustees, Mercy Health Foundation Fort Smith (past chairman), the United Way of Fort Smith Area Endowment Committee and the U.S. Marshals Museum Foundation Board. Previously, he served as chairman of the United Way of Fort Smith Area Board of Directors.

Mr. Echols is a 1975 graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Erin K. Gattis
Chief Human Resources Officer
ArcBest Corporation

Erin K. Gattis was named Chief Human Resources Officer in July 2016. She manages benefits, retirement services and payroll, as well as talent management areas of recruiting, training and development and executive compensation for ArcBest Corporation® and several of its subsidiaries. Various corporate governance responsibilities also fall under her domain.

Previously, she was Vice President — Human Resources and served as the company’s Chief of Staff to ArcBest President and CEO Judy McReynolds.

Ms. Gattis began her career at ArcBest℠ in 1999 in the Human Resources department. She has a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, the senior-most human resources certification for those who have demonstrated a strategic mastery of the HR body of knowledge and practical experience.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Arkansas Tech University. Ms. Gattis is a Board member of the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Fort Smith Area and a member of the University of Arkansas College of Business Dean's Leadership Council.

Cheryl Harper
Vice President - Tax
ArcBest Corporation

Cheryl Harper was named Vice President­ – Tax for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

She previously served as Director of Corporate Tax from August 2015 to December 2016. Ms. Harper joined ArcBest in 2010 as Manager of Tax. She was promoted to Senior Manager of Tax in 2014.

Previously, Ms. Harper was an associate attorney at the law firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon, and Galchus, P.C. in Fort Smith.

She has a Juris Doctor from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Denver.

Ms. Harper currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Tax Policy Committee of the American Trucking Associations.

R. David Humphrey
Vice President – Investor Relations
ArcBest Corporation

David Humphrey is Vice President – Investor Relations, a 30-plus year veteran of ArcBest Corporation® and one of the longest tenured IR executives in the trucking industry.

He began his career with ArcBest℠ in the company’s Economic Analysis Department in 1983, holding various positions there until 1993 when he began work for an ArcBest subsidiary that was subsequently sold. He moved to Investor Relations in 1998.
 
Mr. Humphrey has philanthropic ties to his community and is involved with organizations that include Economics Arkansas, an educational foundation that trains K-12 teachers on how to integrate principles of economics and personal finance into classroom curriculum; the local chapter of Girls Inc., a national organization dedicated to empowering girls through afterschool programs; the Fort Smith Public Schools Foundation and the University of Arkansas – Dean’s Advisory Council of the College of Engineering. 
 
As co-chair of his church’s recent capital funds campaign, he helped raise more than $650,000 for repairs and maintenance of the church facilities. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Barry Hunter
Vice President - Financial Services and Risk Management
ArcBest Corporation

Barry Hunter was named Vice President­ – Financial Services and Risk Management for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously had served as Vice President of Administration and Treasurer for ArcBest company ABF Freight from 2007 until December 2016. Mr. Hunter began his career with ABF Freight as a Pricing Analyst in 1987. He was promoted to Senior Pricing Analyst in 1989 and became Pricing Manager in 1992. He then served as Director of Traffic Services from 2002 to 2007.

Mr. Hunter has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Kansas State University.

James A. Ingram
Chief Operating Officer, Asset-Light Logistics
ArcBest Corporation

James A. Ingram was named Chief Operating Officer, Asset-Light Logistics for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously served as President of ArcBest℠ company ABF Logistics® from August 2013 to December 2016. Previously, he was Senior Vice President–Strategy at ArcBest from November 2011 through January 2014, Vice President–Strategic Development from April 2010 through October 2011, and Vice President–Market Development from January 2008 to April 2010.

He has served in multiple positions at ArcBest company ABF Freight®, including Vice President–Market Development and Director–Quotation Services. In 1990, he started his career in ABF Freight’s Pricing Department, where he worked as an Analyst, Senior Analyst and Pricing Manager. 

Mr. Ingram holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas.

Michael R. Johns
Vice President – General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
ArcBest Corporation

Michael R. Johns joined ArcBest Corporation® in 2007 as Vice President – General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Throughout ArcBest’s evolution into a holistic logistics and transportation provider, Mr. Johns has directed the legal team supporting various mergers, such as ArcBest’s 2012 purchases of subsidiaries Panther Premium Logistics® and Albert Companies Inc., a household-goods moving company.

Mr. Johns also handles the company’s government relations, provides legal counsel to the ArcBest Board of Directors and played an important role in ArcBest’s labor negotiations with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.  

Prior to joining ArcBest℠, Mr. Johns had a 24-year career in Little Rock, Ark., where he was a partner at the law firm of Dover Dixon Horne PLLC. He holds an AV Rating, the highest ranking a lawyer can earn, from Martindale-Hubbell, the leading independent attorney rating firm, and has served as Chair of the Commercial Law Section of the Arkansas Bar Association.

He earned a J.D. from Southern Methodist University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Johns is a member of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Arkansas Bar Association.

Danny Loe
Danny Loe
Chief Yield Officer

Daniel E. Loe was named Chief Yield Officer for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously served as Vice President – Enterprise Solutions from May 2014 to December 2016. Mr. Loe joined the company in 1997 as an associate pricing analyst for ArcBest℠ company ABF Freight®, and held a number of increasingly senior positions in the ABF Freight pricing department. He also served as Director of Marketing & Public Relations for ABF Freight for six years prior to assuming the role of Vice President – Yield Management for ABF Freight in 2010.

Mr. Loe holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Steven Leonard
Vice President - Customer Solutions
ArcBest Corporation

Steven Leonard was named Vice President­ – Customer Solutions for ArcBest Corporation® in January 2017.

He previously served as Vice President – Global Forwarding for ArcBest℠ company Panther Premium Logistics® from November 2014 to December 2016. Mr. Leonard joined the company in 2001 as a quotation analyst for ArcBest brand U-Pack, and has held positions that include Manager of Quotation Services, Manager of TimeKeeper Pricing, Director of Strategic Planning and Divisional Vice President.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas.

Michael E. Newcity
Senior Vice President - Chief Innovation Officer
ArcBest Corporation

Michael E. Newcity was named Senior Vice President - Chief Innovation Officer of ArcBest Corporation® and President of ArcBest Technologies, a subsidiary of ArcBest℠, effective January 2015.

During his 20-plus year tenure with ArcBest, Mr. Newcity has led and progressed several strategic, cross-functional initiatives focused on enterprise-wide advancements in business intelligence, e-commerce, market research, and strategy management. The company has been recognized for information technology work under Newcity's direction in a number of publications, including CIO and Information Week.

Mr. Newcity began his career with Data-Tronics Corp. (now ArcBest Technologies) in 1993. He also served as Manager of E-Systems & Market Development and Manager of E-Commerce at ABF Freight® and Director of E-Systems & Emerging Technologies and Director of Economic Analysis at ArcBest Corporation. He was named ArcBest’s Chief Financial Officer in 2010, and in August 2013, his responsibilities were expanded to oversee corporate information technology and economic analysis as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He served as ArcBest CFO and CIO through the end of 2014.

Mr. Newcity serves on several boards, including Student Mobilization, a non-profit collegiate organization, the Mercy Health Foundation and the Dean’s Leadership Council for the College of Business at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith.

He holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from the University of Arkansas, which awarded him the Senior Honor Citation, the university’s top undergraduate honor. He also holds an M.B.A. from the Walton College at the University of Arkansas and received the Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup for promoting entrepreneurship.

Donald W. Pearson
Vice President – Treasurer
ArcBest Corporation

Donald W. Pearson is Vice President – Treasurer of ArcBest Corporation®, a role he assumed in 2010. He handles all debt financing for ArcBest℠, including acquisition debt, equipment financing, lines of credit and letters of credit. He also manages fiduciary responsibilities for the company’s cash and investment activities.

Nearly a 30-year veteran of ArcBest, Mr. Pearson got his start in Corporate Accounting, where he served in various capacities for a decade. In 1996 he was promoted to Director of Cash Management, a position he held through 2009. Mr. Pearson is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Treasury Professional since 1999. He scored so well on the CTP exam that he was asked by the Association for Financial Professionals to join the Item Writer’s Task Force, assisting with future exam creation. AFP also invited him to be on its Treasury Policies Oversight Task Force and to be a contributor to the AFP Manual of Treasury Policies.

Mr. Pearson is a graduate of the University of Arkansas; he holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. 

Traci L. Sowersby
Vice President - Controller, Chief Accounting Officer

Traci L. Sowersby joined ArcBest Corporation® in April 2015 as Vice President — Controller, Chief Accounting Officer.

She is the principal accounting officer for ArcBest℠, providing technical accounting, internal controls and financial reporting expertise. Prior to joining ArcBest, Ms. Sowersby had a 17-year career with the public accounting firm of EY, where she recently served as an Executive Director in EY’s Phoenix office and previously held progressive positions within EY in other various locations.

A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Sowersby holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University-Purdue University of Fort Wayne. She is also proud to have served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Jason Turner
Vice President — Talent and Growth Initiatives
ArcBest Corporation

Jason Turner was named Vice President — Talent and Growth Initiatives for ArcBest Corporation®in July 2016.

He previously had served as Chief Operating Officer of ABF Logistics®, an ArcBest℠ company, from January 2015 to July 2016. He was President of the Albert Companies, an ArcBest subsidiary, since 2009 where he led Albert’s moving and storage brands that serve customers in the consumer, corporate account and government segments. Before joining ArcBest, he held several leadership positions with POCO Graphite Inc., leading numerous quality and change management initiatives.

Mr. Turner has served on several trade association boards and committees and with nonprofit organizations.

Mr. Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Northwestern State University and a master’s degree in business administration from North Texas University.
