Road Team members connect ABF to the public
Established in 1990, the ABF Freight Road Team was inspired by The American Trucking Associations’ America’s Road Team. During a two-year term, ABF Road Team representatives are ambassadors for ABF Freight and the trucking industry through numerous public appearances. They can speak at career days, school events, and various civic and fraternal organizations. Discussion topics include how the motoring public can safely share the road with trucks, safe driving and the image of the truck driver.
To be considered for the ABF Road Team, candidates must have at least 10 years of professional driving experience and an exemplary driving record. A steering committee makes the final selections among nominations from local service center and linehaul managers.
Load Team participants excel behind the scenes
The ABF Load Team comprises highly skilled freight-handling professionals from ABF service centers nationwide. The team was established in 1994 (with the first team announced in 1995), and ABF service center managers and regional vice presidents of operations select its members.
Load Team members are chosen based on their ability to load trailers with precision and efficiency, safety record, integrity, and involvement in the company’s Quality Process.
